The Kin is an extension of Beaumont Family Wines in the form of a wine club.
The Kin takes its members on an authentic journey through the unchartered. It began with the idea of creating a wine club that would represent a range of wines produced from some of Beaumont’s oldest vines that yield single varietals and blends for a limited number of members.
Based on the core values of the mother brand, we generated the name The Kin – a fitting name as it carries the essence of family, and the traditions often associated with a wine estate. We designed a logo that reflects the heart behind the venture by using a humble, yet intriguing brush script. A letter-pressed membership card, a handwritten number that can be kept as a keepsake, and handmade farm produce such as rusks and jams are presented as a welcome gift to all club members. We created a brochure detailing tasting notes about these “never-before-seen” wines that are presented alongside the wine range in a black box designed specifically for The Kin to ensure that the packaging visibly differs from the mother brand.
We suggested a label unique to the wines of The Kin wine club. These label designs support and link back to Beaumont, yet still, differ from the estate range. To emphasise the attention to detail that goes into crafting these wines, the winemaker’s signature and handwritten note provide a personalised finishing touch.
