A brand involved in the production and distribution of premium wines, Black Elephant Vintners work with selected vineyards and wineries in the Franschhoek Valley. They are responsible for the production of many different wine varietals.
We were tasked with designing their identity to combine their South African heritage with French icons, such as the Eiffel Tower to signify Franschhoek, i.e. their little piece of France.
Led by the above concept, we were tasked with designing the label for their Sauvignon Blanc. The result was Two Dogs, a Peacock and a Horse. We took this into the design by creating something that looks intentional and specific, but in fact, means nothing.
